I love Nandos Chicken!
I am not a great fan of healthy food. Probably I am young enough not to think about health conditions.
In any way Nandos is my favourite chicken place. I would not change it for KFC, Red Rooster or just a grilled chicken take away.
There are 2 things I like about Nandos most of all: the taste and the entertainment.
it begins with the entertainment. Have you seen Nandos billboard or commercial recently?
They are colourful and full of fantasy and ... really cool.
Where do they get their images? In comparison with Nandos other fast food retailers look pale, bland, boring.
So when i come for a chicken I already "live" in a mysterious world of Nandos heroes. And then the chicken arrives!
Oh that smell, oh that first bite! (I write this review and salivating already).
Nandos say that the recipe is Portuguese. Even after I live the restaurant the memory of the taste lingers in my mouth. I almost cry when only one bite is left from my chicken dinner.. alas.
Enough, enough - I am running late, my girlfriend is waiting for me at Nandos..

Nandos or Nando's chicken is my favourite meal. I like the idea of peri peri meal. I believe Nandos are fast food outlet with the difference.
This is more a combination of SubWay + KFC = Nandos. The food is fresh, no nonsense warming up. Freshly flame grilled chicken. I love it.

Nandos Chicken Saved the Day!!!
Nando's peri peri chicken saved the day. My friends and I went to a restaurant around Casino in Melbourne.
We expected top food for the prices they charged. Fish ended up to be a disaster. Food was fresh but (too fresh - too uncooked).
We payed (we shouldn't) and left. After this brief disappointment we decided to go to Nandos. This was the last resort.
We actually enjoyed this. This is not Kentucky fast-food. It has its own Nandos class (transition between fast food and restaurant).
We enjoyed this. Peri Peri chicken was very good. Sauces were great. Well, Nandos did save the day.

I would like to share a more balanced view about the controversy surrounding Nandos advertising. I like Nando's flamed chicken.
Their adverts though are controversial at least. Maybe Nandos needs to concentrate on things they do well - food (not the show-business).

The above nutritional values for Nandos were for half grilled (presumably - peri peri) chicken. If you look at the double leg, the protein results are not that fantastic.

Nandos - Not Everybody is Perfect

Of course you will get some crappy Nando franchise. You must complain to the head office not to the owner of the particular restaurant. I do not know any franchise were all franchisees are perfect. I found a blog were majority (including me) like Nandos. It is a better option then McDonald or Kentucky. By the way Nandos is actually a restaurant.

Nandos is fast food. But I agree it is more a transition between fast and "slow" food. Nandos is a casual restaurant. Therefore appeals to customers who want to go on Friday evening and have fun. However, Nandos is not a function-type restaurant. And it will never be. So if you are looking for Wedding function or 95th birthday - you need to shop around somewhere else.

There is no such thing as fast food, junk food and so on. These are excuses for other food to become junk. If you eat carrot all day long you can actually die. Moderation is the key. And Nandos is not exception!

Nandos is fun and appreciated by the whole family (from 9 to 56). We celebrate our birthdays at Nandos because it is an easy setup, fun atmosphere and spice!
I have some friends who are not very fond of Nandos - but that is a matter of choice.
You do not have to love home food, Bad Booster or Nandos.

Nandos Chicken Review
Nandos - great chicken. I love this seductive smell, mouth flaming taste and atmosphere. Nandos marketing symbols appeal so well to my age group (24 yo). All the experience is so cool, I feel entertained and fed at the same time.
