I should tell you this - it has never been easy. We take a home loan intending to pay it in 20-30 years.
Your mortgage will probably last longer than your marriage. We all need cheaper homer loans, with lower repayments, with many options such as an offset etc.

Did you know that banks have more products than they advertise? It means that you will not know what you are missing!
After that you may try smaller lenders. it is important to check the home loan products offered by non-banks because you would be able to find a cheaper mortgage. That however does not come for free.
Taking a home loan from a small organisation you will lose the convenience and some other features. In some cases it can be important.
Checking your home loan eligibility
In many cases it can be hard. You might be better off using the services of mortgage broker. Such a professional home loan service will save you time, frustration and can actually help to find a home loan that is for you!
What if you have a bad credit record - bad credit loans
For those of us who have a bad credit record it is much harder to find a proper home loan first of all because there are not too many lenders who would take a risk. However it is an awful mistake to assume that your bad credit loan is a dead case!
If you can prove that your income is steady and reasonable or there are some assests in your posession you might find a good home loan.
A word of warning: do not go with non-conforming lenders who will offer you very high interest rate!
